ONSC Inclement Weather Standard Operating Procedures
From time to time we are at the mercy of Mother Nature and her wrath of inclement weather. Inclement weather can be described as: any abnormalities to our normal weather pattern. We are on alert to protect and assure the well-being of our members, property and
building structures, as well as ONSC employees; many of whom drive as far as 45 miles to work.
The following is a list of alerts and descriptions of each alert and the
responsibilities of each. The central call-in for the status of alert is the ONSC Guardhouse @ 336-461-4502.
GREEN ALERT: Inclement weather is predicted and the percentage is a low but moderate chance of occurring. All business will be conducted under normal operating hours.
YELLOW ALERT: Inclement weather is predicted and is a high percentage of bring us severe weather. All business will be conducted under strict conditions and operating hours will be made on an hour-by-hour status.
RED ALERT: Inclement weather is present and has left us with a severe weather problem. All business will be closed and an hour-by-hour or day-by-day decision on the status change and operating hours will be assessed.
The Badin Fire Department is available as a full power shelter. You must, however, at this time furnish your own cot, blankets and food at the Badin Fire Department.
